SMART Sympodium Interactive Display

Go ahead and write on the screen!

Our department is pleased to announce the availability of the SMART Sympodium ID250 interactive pen display. This product allows annotations to be made over documents, PowerPoint slides, websites, moving video, and more. Effortlessly control any presentation and bring it to life. Write over slides in digital ink, save your notes, access any website or multimedia file to give your audience a truly interactive experience. Changes can

be easily saved in many file formats as a fixed file or as a moving video. This can be a great tool for presenting lecture notes or tutorials for review and demonstration purposes. The Sympodium is located in several classrooms.

This is a Sympodium equipped cabinet. The circled buttons are how you change colour. Notice the pen tool sitting next to the mouse.

Here I am drawing on a web page with the pen tool which also will be shown on the data projector. Your choice of colours: Red, Blue or Black

Here I am drawing on a MS Word document with the pen tool which also will be shown on the data projector. Think of this product as an electronic transparency projector. No more pointing at the screen with your finger or using a laser pointer!

Here I am drawing on a MS PowerPoint presentation with the pen tool which also will be shown on the data projector. Students will see every digital ink mark you make, so keep that in mind. Let's say after you have marked up a slide and you want to save it to be part of the original PowerPoint file. This is possible. Please view the tutorial video on how to do this. (This video is for the SMART Board, which is different than the Sympodium which we have. The prinicples are the same though.)

More video tutorials explaining the SMART Sympodium product are available here. (These videos are for the SMART Board, which is different than the Sympodium which we have. The prinicples are the same though.)

If you have any questions or want to schedule a demonstration of the SMART Sympodium product, please contact Andrew Bergsma, Audio-Visual Manager, at abergsma@redeemer.ca or 905.648.2139 ext. 4420.
